TME Education Zambia recorded a major milestone in July 2026 as students represented the country at the AI for Good Robotics Challenge in Geneva, Switzerland, before returning home to showcase their work to national stakeholders and the wider public.
Led by Ambassador Obrey Muchena, the month began with final robot testing, compliance checks, team coordination, and mission rehearsals ahead of the global competition. From 7 to 10 July, the Zambian team took part in the AI for Good Robotics Challenge, gaining valuable exposure to international robotics, teamwork, and problem solving.
Following the competition, the students were recognised during an engagement with the Presidential Delivery Unit on 17 July. The meeting provided an opportunity to celebrate their achievement and highlight the importance of STEM education, robotics, innovation, and youth participation in technology.
The team also presented its AI for Good robotics projects at the Zambia Game Developers Conference, connecting robotics education with the country’s growing technology and gaming ecosystem. Later in the month, TME Education Zambia participated in the Zambia Agricultural and Commercial Show, where robotics projects, educational kits, STEM programmes, and Makerspace activities were showcased to students, farmers, businesses, institutions, and members of the public.
These activities demonstrate how TME Education is helping young Zambians move from classroom learning to national and international innovation platforms. By combining practical training, public engagement, and global exposure, TME Education Zambia continues to strengthen youth confidence, technical skills, and interest in future technology careers.
