Kenya Youth Robotics Teams Qualify for Global Finals with TME Education Support

TME Education Kenya recorded a major milestone in May 2026 as two youth robotics teams mentored by Ambassador Kelvin Kangethe Gitau won their respective categories at the AI for Good Robotics for Good Youth Challenge Kenya National Qualifiers.

The national event, held on 9 May at CEMASTEA in Karen, brought together some of Kenya’s most promising young innovators. With technical mentorship and preparation support from TME Education Kenya in collaboration with Boulder Learning Tech School, both the junior and senior teams emerged as national champions and secured qualification for the global finals in Geneva, Switzerland, scheduled for 7 to 10 July 2026.

Beyond the competition, TME Education Kenya expanded practical STEM learning through the Young Programmers Competition, IoT workshops, and robotics outreach. At St Anne’s Lioki Secondary School, 20 girls were introduced to robotics concepts, practical demonstrations, and STEM career pathways.

The achievement highlights TME Education’s growing role in preparing young Kenyans for global innovation platforms while strengthening hands on technology education across schools and universities.
