It was an amazing time across different countries, so we wanted to share everything that happened during this time.
For those who don’t know, our initiative started 10 years ago with just one person who became an ambassador of our project. The number gradually and steadily increased. Ambassadors and tutors have become the backbone of our project - they're the specialists and teachers focused on the educational needs of their local communities, knowing those needs best. Organizing technology workshops on different kinds of electronics, programming, and the basics of engineering projects has become our steady and satisfying reality.
And during the last few days, there were different kinds of celebrations across different places:
First stop: Tanzania!
We were delighted to get in contact with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Dar es Salam. It was a great start to all of the activities during TME Education Days in Tanzania, where people could visit our ambassadors in Iringa. Students from primary, secondary, and university levels were invited to present their innovation projects live.
Next stop: The biggest TME Education cake in Ethiopia!
The celebration in Ethiopia was a highly successful event featuring a wide range of attractions, our invaluable students, and important and interesting guests. There were presentations, a showcase of student projects, and refreshments - all capped off by what was arguably the most essential highlight: a race to see who could finish their slice of cake the fastest.
Let’s go further: Hello Asia, Hello India!
At Kendriya Vidyalaya in Pune, time was spent promoting technology and electronics education among our students (while having a lot of fun, too!). Our initiative is relatively new in India, so it was a really special time!
Venture back to Africa – To Botswana!
It was an educational time in Botswana. Students, teachers, partners, and other guests came together to make this day something special. A birthday cake was also present!
Last stop for now: Friendly rivalry in Cameroon!
The day was packed with action: students built and presented their projects during the TME Education Board Hackathon, explored 3D modeling and printing with Tinkercad, and competed in the Robot Car Race. There were challenges to solve, gifts to win, plenty of fun… and, at the end of it all, a very special moment: cutting our 10th-anniversary cake.
We are really happy with how big and amazing this project and its celebration are. We are thankful for all the ambassadors and tutors who amaze us with their passion every day. Stay tuned for more info about TME EDUCATION DAYS. There is much, much more to come!
