Busy time in Cameroon – October / November 2025

The months of October and November 2025 were exceptionally productive and inspiring for TME Education Cameroon, marked by deep mentorship, technical workshops, and international collaboration all centered on empowering youth through technology, innovation, and teamwork. This period was dedicated primarily to mentoring and preparing Team Cameroon for the First Global Robotics Competition (FGC) 2025 in Panama, under the theme “Eco Equilibrium.”

Team Preparation and Composition

Toward the end of the school year, TME Education Cameroon organized a special intensive training program forstudents from Tassah Academy Complex Secondary School, the institution selected to represent Cameroon at FGC Panama 2025. The team was composed of five young innovators, both boys and girls.

Workshop Duration and Structure

The preparation took place over 16 intensive days and nights, from October 13–31 and November 1, 2025, held at Tassah Academy and Panama City Fgc, These sessions were designed to blend practical learning, creativity, and problem-solving, allowing students to apply the engineering and programming, circuit, wiring and building concepts acquired during previous TME Education Robotics workshops.

Core Workshop Activities Included: mechanical design and construction of the competition robot (ball collection, shooting, and hanging mechanisms); software programming for movement and automation ; field testing, redesign, and strategy development for scoring optimization.

Implementation and Learning Impact

At Tassah Academy, we carefully selected the most motivated and innovative freshmen students those who had previously demonstrated high potential during earlier TME Education and Robotics workshops. The students learned to collaborate, troubleshoot, and optimize performance, translating theory into practice. After testing, the robot was dismantled for efficient air transport to Panama.

International Experience at FGC Panama 2025

Despite facing major travel delays, Team Cameroon successfully reassembled and upgraded their robot in Panama with support from FGC technical staff and alliance partners (Mexico, Venezuela, and Panama). Their robot performed impressively, earning the Gold Medal ■ in the Winning Alliance - a historic first for Cameroon at FGC25. Mentorship and Collaboration The mentorship team, led by Dessap Loïc, alongside Asafor, Nsoh, Samba, and Mataquai, provided continuous technical and emotional support. Collaboration with other African teams - Kenya, Mauritania, Togo, and Angola - strengthened the students’ global learning experience.

Outcomes and Key Achievements

- Gold Medal - Winning Alliance (FGC Panama 2025) - Empowered 5 students with advanced robotics and programming skills - Strengthened leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities - Promoted Cameroon’s visibility in global STEM innovation - Reinforced TME Education’s mission of youth empowerment through technology

Conclusion

The journey of Team Cameroon to FGC Panama 2025 marks a milestone achievement for TME Education Cameroon. It demonstrates that with access to mentorship, tools, and dedication, African youth can innovate and compete globally. We remain committed to expanding STEM and robotics programs, fostering girls’ participation in technology, and nurturing a new generation of African innovators ready to solve real-world challenges. Together, we are not just building robots, we hope to build change-makers, innovators, and future tech-leaders for Africa and the world.
